Job Details

This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the largest Health and Social Care Partnerships in Scotland. The Partnership is looking for a communications advisor experienced in media and public relations to join their newly formed communications team.

Providing support to teams across the partnership, you will design and deliver activities to raise the profile of services, explain decisions and promote opportunities, build confidence in delivery and tell the partnership's story.

You will be responsible for developing social and digital media as well as working closely with partners to design and deliver a positive and collaborative communication strategy.

With proven track record in a similar role, you will be comfortable working as part of a team and juggling competing demands in a fast-moving environment. Creativity, exceptional writing and interpersonal skills are essential.

Key activities include:

  • developing and providing the partnership’s news and information service and managing the organisation’s relationship with journalists and key external stakeholders.
  • providing professional advice and guidance on external media and communication strategy, policy and evaluation to the Board and officers and representatives across the partnership.
  • establishing a new web and social media presence including writing and coordinating corporate and promotional content online, managing the user experience and maximising engagement.
  • working collaboratively with NHS Fife and Fife Council Communications Teams to ensure consistency of message and a coordinated approach across the workforce and community.

The Person

You will be educated to an HNC in communications or marketing or equivalent professional qualification or with experience in a similar/related role. In addition, you will be confident.

  • running a media service across channels.
  • leading and/or coordinating the delivery of objectives with others.
  • using negotiation skills to drive a pro-active communication strategy.
  • leading/making a positive contribution to change.
  • building trusted relationships and providing professional advice to leaders, officers and partners.

The successful candidate will be required to use their own initiative and be confident working with minimal supervision, in collaboration with partners.
