The Grounds Maintenance Service is looking for an energetic and passionate individual who has experience in delivering land-based projects to a successful conclusion. This dynamic and developing Service have an important role in shaping how our green assets are enhanced to provide a quality experience for all our Communities across Fife.

You will provide specialist advice and support in the delivery of strategic priorities, business development opportunities, land management issues and community projects. You will also develop action plans to improve parks and open spaces including specialist knowledge and expertise in securing funding opportunities.

The Person

The ideal candidate will have creativity and self-motivation in abundance, and show the ability to communicate and work effectively across operational teams and partner agencies.

You must be educated to SCQF level 8 and hold a HND or equivalent in Landscape Design or Horticulture. You must also have moderate post qualification experience in a range of subjects, preferably landscape design, arboricultural and horticultural. A wide range of skills/knowledge covering broad aspects of horticultural techniques land management, green spaces initiatives is essential, with specialist knowledge in a single or range of specialist activities, including funding applications and community engagement.
