The Council’s Legal Service is seeking to recruit a Legal Support Assistant to work in the Legal Support Team.

Requirements

The postholder will provide specialist legal support covering functions relating to conveyancing, contracts, planning and litigation, in particular the provision of road traffic orders, maintenance of the Council’s Titles and land/property searches.

The Individual

The applicant should be educated to SCQF level 4, which includes National 4 or Standard Grades at General level or O’ Grades or equivalent. Ability to produce high quality written work and experience of maintaining confidentiality. Knowledge and understanding of a case management system and legal processes and relevant legislation is desirable as is the ability to operate effectively while under pressure..
