Good Housing impacts on so many aspects of our daily lives. As well as being a basic human right, it also encourages a sense of community, helps economies to thrive and creates an environment which people want to protect.
We need you to help us meet our aim to provide everyone with access to good quality, affordable decent housing that meets their needs and aspirations. We want to improve the quality of life for people across Fife and we work with many different organisations, including tenants groups, to try to make that happen.
As a Multi Storey Caretaker, you will form part of an Area Housing Team that delivers on improved services. You will monitor designated areas for property defects, tidiness and cleanliness, to ensure a good standard of communal and open spaces. You will require to report issues using basic I.T. skills. You will be able to provide high standards of Customer Care while encouraging local people to maintain Estate Standards. You will report on where these are not met.
Your duties may also include some cleaning and emptying bin chutes as directed.
We are looking for staff who wish to work with customers with wide-ranging needs, normally in a communal or open space environment. You should therefore be confident, open minded and ready to provide support and assistance, not judgement.
You will be a self-starter who finds out what the needs of our customers are and apply solutions from the criteria set by the Service and within Legislation.
Good Time Management and organisational skills will allow you to manage competing priorities on a daily basis.
In Fife Council – How We Work Matters! You will be responsible for demonstrating and promoting the behaviours that are expected of all Council employees: -
