The design, creation, testing and documenting of new and amended software components in accordance with agreed development and security standards and processes.
Assisting in the specification and design of information systems to meet defined business needs.
Fife Council pays the Scottish Local Government Living Wage Rate to employees earning less than £8.51 per hour. If the hourly rate of pay for the post is less than the Scottish Local Government Living Wage Rate a supplement will be paid.
Educated to SCQF level 8 which includes HND or SVQ level 4 or equivalent in a relevant IT qualification
Experience of working in the ICT industry
Knowledge of one of more development language

An exciting opportunity to be involved in the delivery of projects focussing on delivering savings through the mobilisation of large numbers of staff involved in front line services.
Working within the Mobile & Systems Integration Competency Centre, you will be involved in the development and successful delivery of mobile working solutions.

A successful candidate will demonstrate:
- Experience of designing, coding, testing and documenting moderately complex solutions
- Experience of developing test plans, carrying out testing and analysing results
- Knowledge of database technologies
- Knowledge of integration techniques
- Experience in the production of clear and detailed documentation for customer and colleagues
- Understanding of applicable guidelines, standards and legislation as it relates to systems development
- Ability to make decisions under pressure
- Time management and organisational skills
