Job Description
Glasgow City Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP) have an exciting opportunity for a Interim Head of Service (Fixed Term 2 years) to provide day to - day leadership for driving forward the delivery of Glasgow City’s Hours Review and Glasgow City HSCP’s Maximising Independence programme.
The role will involve leading a dedicated planning and delivery team and working across the entire NHSGGC HSCP and Acute system to deliver substantive whole system transformation of critical health and care services, consistent with an ethos that promotes resilience, independence, reablement and reduced inequalities in our communities. Specifically the post holder will be responsible for developing and implementing change programmes related to Maximising Independence with the support of a dedicated team. The post holder will be directly accountable to the Assistant Chief Officer Adult Services (Glasgow City HSCP), with wider accountability to HSCP Chief Officers, Acute Directors and Health Board for delivery of their remit.
Educated to Master’s degree level or equivalent, the post holder will be an experienced senior manager, preferably with a background in Health and Social Work, a proven ability to lead and deliver complex, multi-agency system change and a demonstrable ability to lead staff and to influence others.
A commitment to working effectively with partners from the third, independent and housing sectors, as well as the wider community is essential, as is a proven track record in co-production approaches. The ability to drive strategic change is desirable . You will be a key member of the Adult Services Core Leadership Team and a member of the Health and Social Care Partnership Senior Management Team. You will be responsible for taking a lead role on key strategic or thematic areas of work. This will apply to both City and Boardwide work. You will also be expected to represent the HSCP at a national level.
Post holders will be expected to represent the HSCP (Glasgow City Council and NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde) at a national level on such issues as required. This post will require SSSC Registration or professional equivalent is essential.
