Job Description

An exciting opportunity for a temporary 1-year fixed term Occupational Therapy (OT) Team Lead has arisen within the Health and Social Care Connect team aligned to the HSCP.

The newly established team offers a one stop front door service using a multi-disciplinary strengths-based approach. The focus of the team is on prevention, early intervention, and the use of well-being conversations, using a highly skilled set of staff at the first point of contact including qualified OT staff. The aim is to offer and adopt a trauma informed approach to address complex needs and risks. To offer the right service at the right time and manage the demand on statutory services by bring the right people into statutory services who require it. The team covers all care groups from pre-birth to old age.

The successful candidate will require to be an innovative and motivated individual and have a high level of interpersonal skills to supervision and support the staff group. They will work alongside a group of Social Work and OT Team Leads and will require to hold an Occupational Therapy or equivalent qualification and be able to manage a team of skilled OT’s and Social Care Workers using a Rehabilitation and Reablement Model.

Membership of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme will be essential on taking up appointment. Please note successful candidates for the above position will be required to pay for their PVG Membership/or Scheme Checks.

These posts are excepted under Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exclusions and Exceptions) (Scotland) Order 2013 (as amended).
