Job Description

About us
Glasgow Life is one of Scotland’s largest charities, working for the benefit of the people of Glasgow. Our vision is to inspire every citizen and visitor to become engaged and active in a city globally renowned for culture and sport.
Our cultural and sporting programmes, experiences and events promote inclusion, happiness and health while also supporting the city’s visitor economy.
We work across
1. Culture (arts, music, museums and libraries and learning).
2. Sport (Glasgow Club gyms and physical activity programmes).
3. Tourism & events (local, national and international visitor experiences).
As a charity, we believe everyone deserves a great Glasgow life and we find innovative ways to make this happen across Glasgow’s diverse communities.
Glasgow Life is a values-led organisation:
• Inclusive: We are customer focussed. We celebrate diversity and promote equality. We find innovative ways of supporting the mental, physical and economic wellbeing of the people who make Glasgow*.
(*Everyone makes Glasgow: residents, visitors, tourists and businesses.)
• Committed: We believe in the power of sport and culture to give people a reason to be engaged and active and get the best out of life.
• Ambitious: We find innovative ways to deliver the best possible outcomes, fostering the long-term, sustainable development of Glasgow for the benefit of all.
Our response to the pandemic has been to look to find ways to continue to achieve our vision in more innovative, agile and cost-efficient ways. We delivered this year’s Celtic Connections as a virtual festival through Vimeo OTT, reaching wide-spread and enthusiastic audiences, our online gym classes have had 1.5 million living rooms participations so far.
