Job Description

We are recruiting a Finance Business Partner to join our 3,000 strong team of dedicated staff and volunteers.  You will be responsible for the provision of a professional management accounting service, supporting services in the management of their allocated budgets, ensuring overall company objectives are achieved.

Key tasks and responsibilities include:
• Supporting services with budget planning and the preparation of  budgets
• Monitoring of performance against budget, investigating and reporting on variances
• Supporting services in the preparation of robust forecasts against budgets
• Provision of financial information and advice to managers to inform decision making and business planning
• Assist with preparation of final accounts and financial reports
• Completion of statutory and other returns to both internal and external partners
• Work in conjunction with the Financial Controller to provide sound financial management information and advice to senior managers, ensuring corporate objectives are followed and financial regulations and controls are adhered to.  This will include identifying, recommending and developing improvements in financial information and processes to managers
• Deputise for Financial Controller as required

To be successful in this role you have the following skills and experience:
• CCAB/CIMA Qualified with experience of providing high quality financial information and analysis of data **Applications from Near Qualified accountants awaiting final exam results will be accepted.  Any offer of employment is conditional on exam passes and obtaining Qualified status**
• Competent in developing and maintaining complex spreadsheets
• Established negotiating skills to influence and provide challenge to budget holders
• Ability to interpret legislative requirements and apply technical issues
• Ability to work flexibly to meet tight deadlines and deal with conflicting priorities
