Job Description

We are recruiting Records Manager, to join our 3,000 strong team of dedicated staff and volunteers. As Records Manager you be responsible for the development and maintenance of the operation of the records management programme, which supports Glasgow City Council and the Glasgow Family’s statutory record-keeping responsibilities, particularly in the area of records transfer, record retrieval and records disposal.  The majority of your time will be spent in the Mitchell Library, Glasgow.
To be successful in this role you have the following skills and experience:  large database management, office administration; delivering results in respect of introduction of new systems and procedures; evidence of customer focus, demonstrating delivery; evidence of delivering results in relation to your ole in the introduction and establishment of new systems and procedures.  Previous experience of working with large-scale non-current records and staff management is desirable.
