We are recruiting a Special Project Officer, to join our 3,000 strong team of dedicated staff and volunteers who will grasp this challenge and assist in how we redefine our estate, whilst continuing to deliver excellent projects and services for the citizens of Glasgow and the visitors who are welcomed into its venues.
You will be an integral part of the Special Projects Team who work with our front line services to inform and deliver capital projects and strategic asset management support to the Glasgow Life estate. The Special Projects Team is central to the Informed Client role which Glasgow Life delivers on behalf of Glasgow City Council and the work includes project development activities such as brief writing and business case development, preparing funding applications and project delivery. The Special Projects team is a core part of the Infrastructure Support team that also delivers Facility Management and Health & Safety and the role will focus on a wide ranging scale of building related capital projects including refurbishment and redevelopment of some of the most iconic buildings in Glasgow.
To be successful in this role you have the following skills and experience:
• Strong planning, coordination, problem solving and organisational skills.
• Experience of delivering results and collaborative working within a construction project related context.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Relevant qualification with extensive experience of construction capital project development and delivery
