Salary - £36,404.92 - £42,268.74

In 2023, Glasgow and locations across Scotland are hosting the inaugural UCI Cycling World Championships, bringing together 13 world championships into one. Glasgow Life will deliver the sport competition, events and additional programmes in the city on behalf of Cycling World Championships and is expanding its team to deliver the world’s biggest ever cycling event. Glasgow leads the way in hosting major cultural and sporting events, using world class facilities we’ll deliver 8 cycling disciplines bringing new ideas, partnerships and initiatives to the city, enriching urban living by animating the city in the lead up to and beyond the event to drive lasting legacy to the city.
We are recruiting a Venue Development & Overlay Manager who will work as part of Glasgow’s 2023 UCI Cycling World Championships team within Glasgow Life’s Events team.
As Venue Development & Overlay Manager your role will include;
• Leading a fully integrated overlay design process incorporating temporary structures, technical infrastructure, temporary power & distribution and cabling working closely with the Event Team to gather requirements and design appropriate spaces and overlay.
• Prepare accurate CAD drawings for allocated events (including room layouts at the final design stage).
. Work closely with all other functional areas to ensure the coordinated, efficient and effective planning and delivery of the Championships venues

To be considered for the post of Venue Development & Overlay Manager you’ll have;
• Proven experience in the delivery of the VDO workstream within large-scale event environment.
• Proven experience in delivering and leading temporary infrastructure projects.
• Experience of procuring and managing the delivery of high value contracts.
