We are recruiting a Venue Manager to join our 3,000 strong team of dedicated staff and volunteers. You will manage the venue team to ensure the safe and effective delivery of all activities delivered within the Mitchell Complex. You will ensure that all licencing regulations and statutory obligations are in place and observed, and ensure that the venue is clean, and the conditions and fabric maintained to the highest standards. You will ensure that partners and tenants are managed effectively and facilitate the delivery of all operations from the Mitchell, ensuring the venue team deliver the highest level of customer service.
This position is temporary is Permanent
To be successful in this role you have the following skills and experience:
A good general education indicating an ability to learn
Experience in a senior venue management post.
Ability to lead, manage and work with a team allocating tasks as appropriate and monitoring results.
Experience of events management including contracting events and managing event settlements.
Proven ability to prepare, manage and monitor budgets.
Experience of building and contractor management.
Well developed communication, customer service and influencing skills.
Flexible and pragmatic approach.
Ability to work out of hours
Degree or HND in an appropriate discipline.
Experience of managing in a major arts/cultural venue.
Experience of managing in-house productions and working with visiting companies.
Experience of Customer Service Excellence.
Project Management skills.
