Glasgow City Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP) is committed to ensuring promoting independence as a priority, and fully realising the role of occupational therapy across the HSCP. This exciting post has been developed to advance that ambition. Working in close partnership with Occupational Therapy Professional Leads across the HSCP the successful post holder will be responsible for the professional leadership governance and development of Occupational Therapists (OTs) who are providing clinical expertise and advice around major adaptations and environmental design within Glasgow HSCP. They will work with the Care Group Lead OT for Rehabilitation to develop and provide a professional supervision framework for Occupational Therapists within the Rehabilitation and Enablement Service. The post holder will have a detailed knowledge of working practices and challenges within the provision of major adaptations and environmental design inclusive of both national and local agendas and lead the planning and development of the OT service with major adaptations and environmental design in collaboration with operational managers, maintaining College of Occupational Therapy (COT) and Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) standards within a governance framework. They will be expected to chair complex case discussions involving major adaptations/environmental design.

This position is subject to membership of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme for Children and Adults and registration to the Health and Care Professionals Council (HCPC).
