Job Description

An opportunity has arisen with Neighbourhoods, Regeneration and Sustainability’s Technical Support service for a CCTV Systems Engineer to join our team on a permanent basis.

Position Details

Our Technical Support team support various technical systems within Neighbourhoods, Regeneration and Sustainability, including our city-wide Public Space CCTV and Traffcom Traffic Management camera network.

The CCTV Systems Engineers carry out the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of security systems including Public Space CCTV systems across the city.

The work pattern for the post is Monday – Friday, 8am – 4pm inclusive of a 1-hour unpaid break each day. The annual salary is on an incremental scale starting at £35,220.36 and progressing to £42,331.48.

Please note a driving licence is essential for the role.

As part of the pre-employment checks for this post the successful candidate will have to undergo a BS7858 Security Screening check which will involve a 5 or 10-year career history check, a financial probity check and criminal record screening. This will be completed in addition to the Council’s own standard pre-employment checks, which will be detailed to the successful candidate following interviews.
