We are looking for committed individuals to work within either a Mainstream or ASN Secondary School as part of the Towards Better Futures team. You must be driven to improve young people's lives by co-ordinating DYW opportunities ensuring partnership working is at the centre. You must have the drive and commitment to enhance young people's potential to enter a positive sustainable destination on leaving school. You will be an organised, creative and innovative person who understands the benefits to young people of embedding DYW within the curriculum. Working within the school you can expect your day to include 1. planning, creating and delivering employability and wider curriculum learning opportunities which includes employers, educators and partners 2. Identifying and implementing employer activity and events to support young people to prepare for world of work 3. Networking with the business community and making things happen for the young people.
Membership of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme will be essential on taking up appointment. Please note successful candidates for the above position will be required to pay for their PVG Membership/or Scheme Checks.
This post is fixed term for a period up to 31st March 2021.
