Glasgow Psychological Service has vacancies for 3 main grade educational psychologist posts on a permanent full time basis. We welcome applications from candidates who have not completed their QEP, but please note that these candidates will be appointed on a Fixed Term contract and must complete their QEP within 12 months of being appointed. It is only upon the successful completion of the QEP that a Permanent Position will be offered. If successfully appointed on a Fixed Term basis please note that QEP supervision will not be provided by Glasgow Psychological Service.
The Service is progressive and dynamic providing professional challenge and support within a large local authority. These posts offer unique experiences within a wide variety of educational provision across mainstream and specialist establishments and in partnership with a wide range of colleagues. Working within a strong, nurturing and inclusive team you will be actively involved in the development of policy and practice related to the Additional Support for Learning Act and the Children and Young People Act as we work towards raising attainment, improving wellbeing and closing the poverty related gap in Glasgow.
You will work within the ethical standards of the British Psychological Society and be supported by a robust CLPL framework. We are keen to harness both experience and the potential of newly qualified staff and will consider Trainee Educational Psychologists who will be eligible for employment in September 2022.
Membership of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme will be essential on taking up appointment. Please note successful candidates for the above position will be required to pay for their PVG Membership/or Scheme Checks.
