£11.89 - £13.41 per hour range (starting rate will depend on shift pattern)

There is an additional payment for working a non-standard work pattern (Shift working) this is dependant on the shift pattern you are assigned before you start in post.  The hourly rate above illustrates the full hourly rate range, starting rate will depend on the shift pattern assigned.

Driving licence is essential - appointable candidates can either use their own car (milage will be paid) or alternatively they will have access to a HSCP car.

There are posts available across Glasgow City however we are primarily seeking individuals to work in the North West and South of the City.

Glasgow City Council is recruiting a number of staff to provide a Home Care service for Supported Living to the citizens of Glasgow.

We are looking for caring and dedicated people with an interest in caring for others. The duties will include supporting our service users with both their personal care and with practical tasks in a way that respects their dignity, privacy and safety and will require you to work on your own or as part of a team.

Whilst previous experience in social care is not essential as we provide excellent training, we will expect you to be trustworthy, reliable and demonstrate a commitment to supporting vulnerable people in the community.

This position is subject to membership of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme and registration to the Social Services Council (SSSC).
