Job Description

An opportunity has arisen within Neighbourhoods and Sustainability for a 28 hour post of Information & Development Officer to join our ASSIST Domestic Abuse Service.  This post is funded by the Scottish Government DES funding and aims to support the ASSIST management team by providing systematic examination of information to identify emerging issues, potential risks and opportunities and ensuring the DA landscape is reflected in both internal processes and partnership processes.
The post will assist the service to consistently identify and evidence trends across our service which will enhance the understanding of local and national stakeholders such as the Scottish Government and Police Scotland.  It will also enable the service to better understand and meet the needs of service users.  
ASSIST (Advocacy, Safety Support and Information Services Together) aims to ensure that all victims; women, children, and men, are safe, informed and supported throughout their involvement with the criminal justice system. Applicants should have a sound knowledge of domestic abuse and be enthusiastic, motivated, have excellent communication skills and be able to work collaboratively in a multiagency environment, evidencing a respectful and inclusive approach.  
Non-Police Personnel Level 2 Vetting Check.

Membership of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme will be essential on taking up appointment. Please note successful candidates for the above position will be required to pay for their PVG Membership/or Scheme Checks.

This post is fixed term for a period up to 24 months..
