Rodney Street is a Homeless Residential Unit that provides a full assessment and resettlement service for vulnerable male service users affected by homelessness and associated traumas. Applicants must have experience of providing support to males, experience of supporting males with complex needs is desirable. Applicants must have the ability to develop positive working relationships with me, preferrably with men experiencing homelessness and be able to respond to disclosures of a personal and sensitive nature. Good verbal, written and communication skills atre essential. As the unit is residential, you will be required to work shifts - day and night including weekend working. These posts are excepted under Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exclusions and Exceptions) (Scotland) Order 2013 (as amended).
Membership of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme will be essential on taking up appointment. Please note successful candidates for the above position will be required to pay for their PVG Membership/or Scheme Checks.
As Scottish Social Services Council registration is a statutory requirement for this post under the Regulation of Care (Scotland) Act 2001, you must either be already registered or be registered within 6 months from the date you start in this post. Your employment is subject to your continued registrations.
