The Category Manager will take ownership of the tendering process for a wide range of complex Commodities for Works, Goods & Services, conducting Sub OJEU & OJEU Procurement. They will have the ability to manage, lead, project manage, drive, negotiate and deliver complex projects and stakeholders through the procurement process from beginning to end, whilst maintaining critical deadlines. They will be required to deliver a customer focused and professional service, as well as manage, coach and mentor procurement officers as appropriate. The Category Manager will require to deliver target savings, efficiencies and recognise opportunities in order to deliver added value. You will be aware of and up to date with recent legislative changes to the procurement process and be proficient in the use of PCSt. This post primarily deals with the Food and Drink sector and Community Equipment and it would be desirable if candidates had experience in either of these sectors.
