Glasgow City Council is seeking to recruit a Support for Learning Co-ordinator for placement within St Bridget's Primary School and Nursery Class. The salary for this post 27.5 hours term time is £14,334.64 per annum.The Support for Learning Co-ordinator plays a key role within the modern school environment in providing assistance and support to children and young people with additional support needs to access the curriculum.
In addition, the Support for Learning Co-ordinator will have responsibility for the provision of support, guidance and mentoring to Level 1 and Level 2 Support for Learning Workers. You will also build and promote a positive working environment and positive working relationships with pupils.
You will ensure the effective and consistent delivery of support services within the establishment and liaise with the school management team to assist with decision making in relation to the provision of support.
You will have responsibility for the supervision and administration of medication and for assisting pupils who need specific intimate personal care and support.
The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills coupled with the ability to effectively liaise with a variety of stakeholders.
Membership of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme will be essential on taking up appointment. Please note successful candidates for the above position will be required to pay for their PVG Membership/or Scheme Checks.
