Salary placing will normally be at the first point of the scale.

Job Purpose: An opportunity has arisen for a Health Visitor to join the Family Team covering Skye and Lochalsh. The post is  based within the new Lochalsh Health Centre which over looks the picturesque  Kyle Harbour and Skye Bridge. The successful candiate should have expereince of working within a multi agency setting and be able to demonstrate experience in the areas of child protection, vulnerable families and public health. Relocation grant available. 

To facilitate and empower individuals and families to engage in healthy lifestyles through the promotion of health screening and detecting for signs of ill health and/ or abnormality and engaging in anticipatory and supportive care applying the Principles of Public Health Nursing/Health Visiting:

  1. Identify Health Needs
  2. Stimulate the Awareness of Health Needs
  3. Facilitate Health Enhancing Activity
  4. Influence Policies Affecting Health
