Salary placing will normally be at the first point of the scale.

Job  Purpose:     To co-ordinate and deliver humanitarian and resilience support, building community capacity and resilience through active engagement with a range of bodies including community and public sector organisations.

To support engagement activity related to the implementation of the Community Empowerment Act and the Council’s ‘Placed Based approach’, including developing local relationships and networks with community bodies, encouraging participation and involvement, with an emphasis on addressing poverty and recovery.

The posts will be part of the Community Support and Ward Management team and although based in one area, will work as part of the wider area-based team to support projects and activity across the broader area.

Demonstrate through experience of working in an equivalent job role, evidence of degree level of educational ability OR

Educated to degree level or relevant professional qualification Or

Evidence of developing and delivering community programmes that enable community capacity development and build resilience

Experience of co-ordinating public and community sector partnerships to deliver agreed outcomes with an awareness of current policy agendas related to food/financial insecurity and resilience

Awareness of the Community Empowerment Act.
