Salary placing will normally be at the first point of the scale.

Job  Purpose:  Based within the Inverness Performance and Systems Support team, the Graduate Corporate Address Gazetteer Technician role is to

  • Assist with the maintenance and support of the Corporate Address Gazetteer,
  • Work with Stakeholders to identify data improvements in line with a national data set

This is an exciting opportunity for a graduate to work on a live project, and to gain an in-depth understanding of the Corporate Address Gazetteer and how addresses and new streets are created and help shape the built environment that we live in today and will offer an opportunity to develop management and interrogation skills in the planning systems database. 

The successful applicant should be a team player by nature with good communication skills; be spatially aware and able to competently read maps and site plans. You will be motivated and proactive and have an enthusiasm for problem solving and researching information through known avenues. If you wish to be part of a responsive and fast paced team while progressing your practical knowledge, then this graduate vacancy will provide a valuable learning opportunity that will expand your experience while working in a busy service.

Requirements

You must be resident in the Highlands for the duration of the employment period 

You must be under 25 on the date of application submission 

You must have a qualification at HND level or above

No more than 4 years from graduation and must be currently unemployed or “underemployed”
