Job Purpose:
To lead on ensuring that contracts for ICT services, goods and systems are fit for purpose. Acting as designated Contract Owner/Supplier Relationship Manager, the post holder will build productive commercial relationships with suppliers to ensure they deliver as per the agreed business outcomes and drive continuous improvement. To work with a broad range of stakeholders, leading client-side resource both within ICT Services and the wider business. Provide effective liaison between ICT Services and the Corporate Procurement team, ensuring best practice is understood and implemented. Drive critical activities in the lifecycle management of ICT contracts and suppliers with principal responsibilities including procurement, onboarding, driving value, identifying and manging risk, managing strategic contract changes, dispute resolution, and contract exit.
The postholder will work as part of the Digital Delivery Team which will play a critical part in the Council’s work to digitally transform service delivery, the Commercial Manager will play a key role to build and develop effective commercial relationships ensuring productive outcomes for both the Council and its suppliers.

Requirements
- Educated to degree level in a numerate/business/digital and technology related subject; or
- Relevant industry specific qualification(s); or
- Extensive relevant proven experience that demonstrates a similar level of knowledge and understanding.
Responsibilities
Lead the commercial and supplier relationships for all key ICT Contracts with a key focus on the principal stages of lifecycle management. Ensuring, from the outset that contract deliverables are clearly aligned with agreed business requirements with a focus on value throughout the term of the contracts.
