Job Description

Post Title: Principal Planner - PRB
Location:  Inverness
Hours:       17.5 Hours per week 
Duration:  Permanent
Salary:      £20,738 - £22,677 p.a.

Salary placing will normally be at the first point of the scale.

Job Purpose: The Highland Council has the biggest land mass in Britain, and the planning team deal with a wide range of small and large scale developments, protecting and enhancing the outstanding natural, built and cultural heritage of the area whilst ensuring development makes a contribution toward sustainable growth.

This is a permanent, part-time position and we can work flexibly around other commitments you may have.  The post lends itself to virtual or remote working with only limited attendance required principally to support meetings of the Local Review Body.

Requirements

A degree in Town Planning

Post qualification experience in a wide range of planning work, including development management.

Chartered Member of the RTPI.
