Job Description
Home Support Worker (temp) HSCP/HSW
Salary £20,797 - £21,375 (pro rata)
Location: Various Inverclyde
Posts/patterns: Various and flexible, from 10.5hrs to 28hrs, 4 on 4 off, 2 week rotas, covering mornings, afternoon and evenings
You don’t need any specific qualifications to start your career in adult social care as training will be supplied allowing you to register with the SSSC. What we are looking for is people with the right attitude, patience, respect and teamwork.

Vetting by Disclosure Scotland
If you work in regulated work (children and/or protected adults) you will be subject to obtaining a satisfactory PVG. A small number of posts require a Standard or Basic Disclosure check and the majority of all other posts will complete a Criminal Convictions Form. All disclosure checks are obtained via Disclosure Scotland. If you are the successful candidate you will be required to pay the cost of the disclosure check required for your post.
Regulatory Bodies
If your post requires registration with a Regulatory Body such as HCPC or SSSC etc. You are required to obtain and maintain registration including paying any fees.

Working from Home / Interim Hybrid working
Inverclyde Council comply with all government covid-19 regulations and legislation regarding working from home which is still the default position. Currently many staff are working from home on a partial basis for part of the week. We are also intending to roll out an interim hybrid working pilot from the new year (date to be confirmed) which has a minimum 50% work location attendance if applicable. This can be discussed at interview with the recruiting manager.
