Job Description


A candidate should have minimum experience in the field of social care in any setting. Be passionate about working with other people and vulnerable adults who require support within their own home environment. Be flexible, compassionate, open-minded and capable to work without direct supervision. Full training will be given.

The Jobholder must have a SVQ level II in Social Care and have practical experience working in a supportive role with clients delivering Individual Care Plans. They need to be able to work without direct supervision and have a mature and self-reliant approach with the ability to respond to unplanned situations in a calm and flexible manner.

Working Pattern: 4 days on 4 days off

Please note that it is Midlothian Councils policy that successful applicants will be appointed to the first point on the salary scale.

Based on you working 36 hours over 52 weeks per year the minimum actual salary for this position is £22,504.19 per annum or 21 hours over 52 weeks per year the minimum salary for this position is £13,127.44 per annum.
