An opportunity exists for two permanent part-time Customer Care Assistants in the Home Care Team based in Fairfield House, Dalkeith. If you're a good communicator and enjoy helping people, this could be an ideal job for you. As a Customer Care Assistant you will deal with all incoming calls to the service & be responsible for supporting a Team Supervisor and contributing to the provision of Home Care services to client’s in their own homes. You will also be responsible for operating & recording your work on a computerised scheduling & client information system & ensuring care packages are always covered as required. You will provide support & advice for carers as required and deal with customer enquiries and any complaints within the guidance provided.
It is essential that you are competent in literacy and numeracy, such as three Standard Grades at level 3 or above, including Mathematics and English or equivalent subjects.
Good 'people skills', a friendly approach and excellent communication skills are equally essential in this post. You will also need to have:
• a genuine interest in helping customers
• the ability to work as part of a team
• a polite, thoughtful and friendly attitude
• patience and calmness under pressure
• the ability to handle complaints and difficult situations
• Organisational, computer and administration skills
Previous experience working in the care sector or knowledge of this area of work would also be an advantage.

Based on you working 21 hours over 52 weeks per year the minimum actual salary for this position is £10,420.86 per annum.
