We are looking for enthusiastic, motivated and professional Customer Service Advisors to join our busy Contact Centre.

Midlothian Council Contact Centre provides customer services for a range of council service areas.  We aim to deliver excellent and professional customer service across multiple channels.   

The role requires good listening and communication skills and you will need to demonstrate a high level of accuracy, adhere to GDPR requirements and ensure that the customer receives first rate and skilled service through every contact.

We have two vacancies within our Contact Midlothian team, the ideal candidate will have experience of processing a high volume of interactions and able to demonstrate experience of managing multichannel customer contact.

Experience with housing repairs and waste services is desirable however this is not essential as full training will be provided.

The jobholder must have a minimum of 3 standard grade passes or SVQ in English and Mathematics and/or able to demonstrate equivalent knowledge, skills and competencies gained though relevant experience.

The jobholder is required to undertake in-house training that meets the requirements of Customer Service standards and Midlothian’s competencies in order to carry out the role.

Please note that it is Midlothian Councils policy that successful applicants will be appointed to the first point on the salary scale.

Based on you working 36 hours over 52 weeks per year the minimum actual salary for this position is £25,265.56 per annum.

Requirements
