Operational knowledge of housing and related legislation and detailed Council policy is essential to deliver accurate information and make balanced judgements within documented requirements and procedures and strict deadlines.
The duties can be fulfilled with at least two Highers, including English, or SVQ equivalent combined with necessary experience. A Diploma in Housing Studies is a desirable qualification.
Experience is important, especially in local authority housing management, together with inter-personal skills to handle clients, some of whom may be disadvantaged. Some clients may also be in conflict with the authority where their perceived needs have not been met or they are in breach of tenancy agreements. The jobholder must persuade individuals of the accuracy of his/her judgement, offer alternatives where appropriate and negotiate solutions to tenancy problems.

Based on you working 32 hours over 52 weeks per year the minimum actual salary for this position is £21,473.11 per annum.
