As Information Officer you will report to the Principal Officer, Data Analysis and Research.
You will be responsible for supporting resource management of the estate and staffing and the development and implementation of the Children, Young People and Partnerships management information arrangements and statistical information gathering.
You will also assist in the analysis, reporting and presentation of the service’s statistical information, including benchmarking data, for use in performance management, self-evaluation, continuous improvement and policy-making. You will be responsible for the collation, validation and submission of statutory information for Scottish Government and other governing body statistical surveys and returns and for Key Performance Indicators.
You will maintain and analyse information on pupil numbers, school catchments, school capacities, school sites, pupil numbers generated by new housing development and statutory requirements.
It is essential that you hold a degree or an appropriate equivalent qualification. Proven experience of working with a wide range of statistical and other data sources, involving data collection, collation, analysis and interpretation and have a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
