As part of a team, you will provide lifesaving and pool supervision duties contributing to the smooth running of the sports facilities by providing a safe, clean and attractive environment for users in the Newbattle Community Campus.
You will also be involved in setting up and recovering sports equipment, in addition you will be cleaning wet changing areas.
Good customer service skills and possession of a valid NPLQ certificate is essential for this post.

Previous experience of operational tasks within a Leisure Centre/Swimming Pool is desirable as is a coaching qualification and/or fitness instructor’s qualification.

Working Pattern:

17 hours per week – Saturday & Sunday 9am – 6pm

Job Share

11.5 hours per week – Monday 5pm – 10pm
                                 Friday 5pm – 10pm
                                 Saturday 2pm – 6pm

20.5 hours per week – Tuesday 5pm – 10pm
                                 Thursday 5pm – 10:15pm
                                 Friday 5pm – 10pm
                                 Sunday 9am – 6pm

Please note that the above job share is a two week work pattern, you would work alternate patterns alongside the employee you job share with.

Weeks per year: 52

Please note that it is Midlothian Councils policy that successful applicants will be appointed to the first point on the salary scale.

Based on you working 17 hours over 52 weeks per year the minimum actual salary for this position is £8,595.61 per annum.

Based on you working 11.5 hours over 52 weeks per year the minimum actual salary for this position is £5,814.68 per annum.

Based on you working 20.5 hours over 52 weeks per year the minimum actual salary for this position is £10,365.30 per annum.
