Midlothian Council are offering an exciting paid opportunity to undertake a valuable qualification whilst working in Early Learning and Childcare settings. You will be supported in gaining your qualification by our dedicated teams of Midlothian trainers and colleagues in settings. Throughout your training, you will work as a member of a team in an Early Learning and Childcare setting responsible for supporting children’s learning and development in a caring and nurturing environment.
You will gain confidence in planning and implementing the curriculum to enable children to achieve their potential and give them the best possible start in life.
Evidence of competency in literacy and numeracy skills such as a minimum of three Nat 4/5 or standard grade level 3 passes to include Mathematics and English or equivalent.
Experience or evidence of interest in working with young children is desirable for this role.
Automatic interview for applicants who have completed or are attending a Nat 4 or 5 in Childcare, Men in Childcare course or LLE Childcare course in Midlothian.
