An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Roads team as a Road Inspector Technician. With information gathered in accordance with New Roads and Street Works Act 1991 and associated Codes of Practice you will be confident with databases such as Scottish Road Works Register and the National Street Gazetteer. You will liaise with utility companies and represent the interests of the Council as roads authority in order to minimise disruption and ensure works are co-ordinated with other activities on the network. You will inspect and report on standards of work to ensure they are carried out with due regard to public safety and traffic requirements. You will inspect, monitor and undertake enforcement action to remove illegal road occupations, skips, scaffolding and containers. With previous relevant experience you will hold an HNC/HND in a related engineering subject or equivalent.

Based on you working 24 hours over 52 weeks per year the minimum actual salary for this position is £18,496 per annum with pay award pending. (Grade 6 £27,744 pro-rata)
