An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Roads team as a roads database technician. With information gathered in accordance with New Roads and Street Works Act 1991 and associated Codes of Practice you will be confident with databases such as Scottish Road Works Register and the National Street Gazetteer. You will liaise with utility companies and represent the interests of the Council as roads authority in order to minimise disruption and ensure works are co-ordinated with other activities on the network. You will report on standards of work to ensure they are carried out with due regard to public safety and traffic requirements. You will monitor and undertake enforcement action to remove illegal road occupations, skips, scaffolding and containers. With previous relevant experience you will hold a qualification in a related engineering subject or equivalent. The role is office based rather than site based so can be delivered in a hybrid model working from home and office.

Requirements
