Midlothian Council are looking to expand their Roads operations team with the addition of further staff to help deliver a diverse and exciting range of project. Ideal candidates will have experience of all aspects of roads maintenance and construction to include but not limited to Kerbing, drainage and tarring. Experience in the use of small plant and winter maintenance would be advantageous

KNOWLEDGE:
Essential
Jobholders should hold SVQ Level 2 in Road Building or equivalent, ideally with at least 1 years post qualification experience in the road maintenance industry. They must be familiar and confident to carry out a variety of tasks as outlined in the main duties section and be able to safely operate a number of items of plant associated to the tasks.
Desirable
Full clean driving licence (Category B or B plus E)
SVQ Level 2 module in winter maintenance
