We are recruiting a Senior Consultant Engineer to lead the Council’s flood risk management programme. Working in Neighbourhood Services, the post holder will fulfil a multi-purpose role identifying flood risk areas, developing management action plans and prevention strategies and liaising with external environmental agencies to develop partnership approaches.
Jobholders must hold a Degree in Civil Engineering and Full Chartered Civil Engineer status. Previous experience in the use of Microsoft Office, or similar software packages, together with knowledge of relevant quality assurance systems is also essential.

Based on you working 36 hours over 52 weeks per year the minimum actual salary for this position is £39,917.70 per annum.
Compliance with the mandatory Cabinet Office PSN (Public Sector Network) Code of Connection requires the Council to meet a baseline personal security standard. This requires completion of a basic/standard/enhanced disclosure check for all employees who can access official information. The fee for this PSN Disclosure check is £25 and the successful candidate will be required to re-pay to the Council the fee through payroll deduction.
