This post will be based at Beeslack High School however on occasions you may be required to move to other Council Buildings within Midlothian. You will be expected to provide support in the Facility Services provision in a school environment by ensuring that the care and maintenance of a swimming pool and plant are checked and maintained throughout the day, carry out inspections and tests of fire and intruder alarms as and when required, ensuring that cleaning standards are maintained throughout the day, setting up and preparing of halls and rooms, carry out litter picking duties, porterage duties, minor maintenance tasks, building security, opening and closing locations. Act as a support to the Facility Site Supervisor in the provision of all tasks associated with the Service Level Agreement.

Jobholders should have a sound knowledge of the building cleaning industry and have attained the B.I.C.Sc. stage 1 and stage 2 proficiency certificates. S/he must hold a current PASOQ certificate pool and spa operator’s certificate or equivalent.

Based on you working 22 hours over 52 weeks per year the minimum actual salary for this position is £11,594.39 per annum.
