We are looking for highly motivated social workers to work in our children and families practice teams. The teams work mainly with children aged 0-12 years. Ideally you will have experience of working within child protection, with Looked after Children and the Children’s Hearing System. Knowledge of current legislation, experience of direct work with children and permanence planning is also required.

We are a small local authority who offer a clear training framework, opportunities for further study and development and regular support and supervision. We operate within a flexi hours system and all our teams are co-located. 

We encourage both experienced and newly qualified social workers to apply.

A degree in Social Work and registration with the SSSC as a Social Worker is essential. A Diploma in Social  Work  with  SSSC  registration  as  a  social  worker  is  an  acceptable  alternative  together  with  a Mental Health Officer academic qualification.

Based on you working 36 hours over 52 weeks per year the minimum actual salary for this position is £36,117.53 per annum.
