Midlothian Justice Service are looking to recruit 3 people to fixed term contracts to support the work of the team to move forward from the impact of Covid-19.    The successful candidates will undertake the full range of Justice Social Work duties including completion of reports for the Courts and Parole Board, supervision of those subject to statutory orders including Community Payback Orders and Statutory Licences.  There will also be opportunities to participate in groupwork service provision.

The Justice Service is co-located with statutory partners in the Substance Use Service, Psychological Therapy Service, Intensive Home Treatment Team, Community Mental Health and the Joint Mental Health Team.  Third sector partners also co-located in Number 11 include MELD, Health in Mind and Change, Grow, Live.    

In addition to meeting the essential criteria, within your application you must be able to evidence an understanding of crime, its causes and impact on society; principles for effective practice;  principles of risk management and risk assessment alongside awareness of National Outcomes and Standards for Criminal Justice Social Work Services will be invited for interview.  The selection process will involve a second interview with service users.
