We have recently undergone a review of our Midlothian Sport & Leisure Service structure and are ready to move forward with our service which;

  • Meets the needs of Midlothian residents to enable them to be physically active, providing a positive & safe environment & varied programme of opportunities to be active.
  • Meets the needs of Sport & Leisure staff, providing them with a positive working environment, feeling valued, supported and with opportunities to develop.

As part of our Sport & Leisure Service, our development programme is dedicated to supporting & developing high quality, inclusive & accessible opportunities for the people of Midlothian.

We are looking for a dynamic and motivated team player to join our development team as Sports Coach (football).

Essential

Educated to NVQ or SVQ level 2/3 in the specific sports discipline.

Appropriate national governing body qualifications or equivalent and be prepared to update if and when required.

Interpersonal skills and practical experience in delivering the specific coaching sessions to young people/specific target groups. 

Experience of designing and delivering sports/coaching programmes and lessons.

Valid up to date First Aid Qualification.

Please note that it is Midlothian Councils policy that successful applicants will be appointed to the first point on the salary scale.

Based on you working 18 hours over 52 weeks per year the minimum actual salary for this position is £13,459.31 per annum.
