Job Description

To ensure the delivery of an effective and efficient high quality service which is Person Centred in approach and is flexible to achieve the desired outcomes for people who have significant barriers. The Employability team is an all age service and supports young people, parents and adults who require additional support to progress into learning, training or work opportunities.

To work with the Moray Pathways local employability partnership to develop the range of support and provision available for individuals referred to the service.  

 

Responsibilities

Working with partners to identify, engage and assess the needs and develop the capacity of individuals who face significant barriers to accessing learning, training or work.

 

Monitor, and manage an identified caseload to provide end to end support for learners who are out of work/ in-work and continue support to sustain positive outcomes on the learner journey.

 

Promote, establish and maintain effective and efficient professional working relationships with a range of partners within the Moray Pathways network

 

Co-ordinate, review and evaluate the effectiveness of the learning plan with the individual

The Individual

Experience and knowledge of working with one or more of the potential client groups within our all age service, This includes, young people, adults and parents.

Experience of working with one or more of the following:  individuals who may be long term unemployed, household with children living in poverty, mental health, criminal history, homelessness, care experienced, people with disabilities, living in a jobless household, single adult with dependents, low skilled, underemployed and low income employed.  

Relevant qualification at SCQF level 6  ( or above) and/ or equivalent work experience in a related discipline (for example, CLD, Education and Social Care, Health or Third Sector).

Manage a caseload and workload effectively

Record information on a database and write evaluation reports as necessary

Ability to maintain effective partnerships and positive relationships with individuals, colleagues, partners and employers

Ability to develop new opportunities and provision for individuals.

Ability to follow current safeguarding guidelines and have working knowledge of current policies and procedures

Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal and the ability to communicate with people at all levels.

Ability to work under pressure.

Ability to form productive working relationships with colleagues and partner agencies.

Appreciation, acceptance of and a commitment to the importance of confidentiality.

Ability to work independently providing outreach support and use own initiative.

Ability to work flexibly to meet the needs and demands of the service.

Ability to work in an open plan/shared office (please delete as necessary).

Ability to work in different offices depending on the needs of the service.

You will be expected to travel efficiently and effectively between various work locations within Moray to meet the operational requirements of the Service.  Due to the rural nature of Moray this is normally undertaken by use of a car.

 

Temporary until March 2023 with likely extension
