We have big plans for the future of North Ayrshire and we’re looking for an exceptional individual who can help us deliver them.

We are driving forward our ambitious transformation programme, maximising opportunities and addressing the challenges which lie ahead of us.

We are looking for an exceptional individual to take a strategic role in delivering our Council Plan, in particular leading our Wellbeing priority and become our Executive Director (Education).

The successful candidate will work with our Chief Education Officer and be able to demonstrate the breadth of capacity, skills and vision to work with and support our Chief Executive to deliver the Council’s ambitions for North Ayrshire, facilitate our transformational change programme and deliver high quality, value for money services in a challenging financial climate.

You will demonstrate extensive experience at a senior management level and have the ability to create inspiring and innovative solutions. Full information can be found in the role profile.

As a strategic and inspirational leader, you will deliver a clear sense of purpose and direction and will secure the confidence of Elected Members, the Council and your Teams.

You will be able to demonstrate experience in the implementation of change, excellent people management skills, effective partnership working, integrity and sound ethical judgement.
