Job Summary

During Covid-19, we are taking the opportunity to work in different ways and this includes how we continue to undertake our interviews. We are using Microsoft Teams to progress with interviews virtually and all you need is a device with a camera and access to the internet. We will provide guidance and instructions on how to use this method if your interview is being held virtually.

This post is based within North Ayrshire Council’s Corporate Information Governance Team. The Information Management Officer will report directly to the Senior Manager (Information Governance) and will play a pivotal role in ensuring corporate compliance with information management legislation including the UK GDPR/Data Protection Act 2018 and Public Records (Scotland) Act 2011. The post holder will have operational responsibility for records management and work closely with the Council’s Data Protection Officer on data protection matters - from assisting with breach management to working on corporate governance projects.
