Job Summary

Temporary for 12 months

Due to funding criteria, applicants must be aged 16-19 by the provisional start date of 29th August 2022

During Covid-19, we are taking the opportunity to work in different ways and this includes how we continue to undertake our interviews. We are using Microsoft Teams to progress with interviews virtually and all you need is a device with a camera and access to the internet. We will provide guidance and instructions on how to use this method if your interview is being held virtually.

Working within our Corporate Policy, Performance and Elections team you will gain an excellent understanding of how our Council and the public sector operates. You will be involved in researching information and ensuring teams across our Council are providing the best services possible for our people of North Ayrshire. In addition, you will also gain an insight into the democratic processes within our Council. This really is a key opportunity to gain experience and knowledge that will be of real benefit for any future roles in the public sector. For more details see the attached Role Profile below.

Before you apply, find out a little bit about us and why we are a Great Place to Work.

Staff Values & Behaviours

Our values of Focus, Passion and Inspiration are core in everything we do and how we do it. They are the foundation that our work is built on, and they are used to measure how well we do each day. On their own, they are just words; to become meaningful they need to be backed up by actions. That's why we aim for them to be at the heart of everything we do. When they are, we can - and will - deliver the best services for the communities of North Ayrshire.

Further information on our Staff Values is available on the Council’s website.
