During Covid-19, we are taking the opportunity to work in different ways and this includes how we continue to undertake our interviews. We are using Microsoft Teams to progress with interviews virtually and all you need is a device with a camera and access to the internet. This post is based in the Procurement Team within our Chief Executive Service. Reporting to the Senior Manager (Corporate Procurement), you will be involved in managing the procurement team to ensure all procurement activities are carried out compliantly. The Procurement team are responsible for purchasing all supplies, services and works required by North Ayrshire Council, including, care services, food, stationery, bin collections, vehicles, ICT equipment and the construction of new schools, offices etc. and must ensure all purchases are legally compliant, achieve best value for money and that contracts are put in place to ensure continuity of supply. The Team Manager will be responsible for ensuring all procurement exercises and contract awards are compliant with the Council's standing Orders and relevant procurement legislation, to achieve value for money.
