An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic individual to become a key member of our team.  This role is currently hybrid working which involves a combination of home working and attendance at the office base of civic centre, Motherwell.  The main focus of this role will be assisting in the provision of a comprehensive administration of the Council’s construction driven procurement arrangements, assist in the delivery and monitoring of various client programmes including processing payments, and assist in the development of performance indicators. You will be involved in the preparation of tender documentation, contract schedules and compliance checks, including provision of information and resolution of queries and fulfil relevant administration tasks on a daily basis.

With an SVQ2/HNC/Apprenticeship in an appropriate subject, you will have moderate work experience in a procurement and/or support environment including experience in providing procurement support, advice and guidance, producing tender documents and ensuring compliance. Additionally will be able to demonstrate experience of processing financial documentation along with a thorough knowledge of financial regulations and monitoring arrangements. It is essential that you possess excellent organisational and IT skills and are an effective communicator with the ability to collate information and provide reports.

Key priorities for the post holder include supporting procurement related activity for all service areas with a particular focus on the Design element of the Service. Experience of project working and the monitoring of Key Performance Indicators and Service Delivery agreements would be advantageous.

*For all casual/sessional roles, you will receive 12.1% of your hourly rate for every hour worked in total recompense for annual leave, including public holidays. These rates will be indicated separately on your payslip.  You will only be paid for the hours that you work.
