We are currently recruiting Children & Family Support Assistants to join one of our teams in either localities or Intensive Services. As a member of our Children & Families team and in partnership with other agencies, you will provide advice, support and practical assistance to children, young people and their families to achieve positive outcomes ie to remain living within their community, improve their quality of life including health and wellbeing or to decrease the vulnerability factors and manage risk as part of their overall plan.
Engaging positively with children, young people and their families is critical to this post so we need someone who has excellent communication skills including oral, listening and written. We are looking for someone who is self motivated, enthusiastic and solution focussed and has the ability remain calm and work under pressure at times. If you are compassionate and can demonstrate a commitment to working with children, young people and their families to achieve positive outcomes then this job is ideal for you.
An HNC, SVQ3 in Social Care or equivalent in a relevant discipline and moderate experience of working within a social work/social care setting are essential as are ICT and report writing skills.
You will require to become a Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme member prior to commencing in this role.
Intensive Services posts include evenings and weekend working attracting non core hour enhancements.
The temporary positions are until 31/12/2023.
